Installing it yourself
- Mark out the full use zone, not just the footprint of the equipment. Extend well past the structure on all sides, and considerably further in the swing travel direction.
- Strip the grass and excavate. You want the finished surface roughly level with the surrounding grade, which means digging down rather than building a mound that erodes and spills.

- Do not compact the fiber layer. It is not a base course. Rake to depth and let use consolidate it naturally; account for that consolidation in your takeoff instead of vibrating it in.
